Shield Protocol has developed the first 2FA app on blockchain, as a second layer security platform on the Binance Smart Chain. This allows users to back-up their 2FA  accounts on different blockchain networks, instead of centralised servers.

Reef Finance is building Reef Chain, a DeFi blockchain built using Substrate Framework. Reef Chain provides high scalability, enabling almost instant low-cost transactions, and supports Solidity and EVM, allowing developers to seamlessly migrate their DApps from Ethereum without any change in the codebase. 🐠 Reef v8 has been activated on mainnet at block 1408888! 🎉

Reef v8 represents the most significant blockchain upgrade since the Reef mainnet first launched on May 28, 2021. 💪 Reef v8 brings the following improvements:

- Upgrade from Polkadot Substrate 3 to Substrate 4 🚀
- Upgraded Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) to post-London fork 🍴
- Support for live chain forking in development mode 🖥
- Support for blockchain database snapshots /w Postgres mirroring 🪞
- Improved integration tests suite 💻

Upgrade Instructions 📖
If you are running a Reef node, this release also requires node upgrade. All users should upgrade their Reef node to 4.0.0 as soon as possible. A Reef Chain re-sync is not required.

Ecosystem Improvements ⚛️
Developers should upgrade to the latest versions of the JavaScript and Python libraries to continue building and developing their dApps, ensuring they are compatible with the latest version of Reef Chain.
