US Confiscates Oil from Russian-Operated Ship Near Greece
Washington has seized an alleged Iranian oil cargo from a ship operated by 19 Russian crew and impounded by Greek authorities near the island of Evia last month.
An anonymous source from the Greek shipping ministry told Reuters that the US Dept of Justice informed Athens of the cargo’s origins and that the oil had been transferred to an American vessel to be taken to the US.

The fact that a #German general is openly threatening to use #nuclear weapons against #Russia must be taken as a serious warning. Seventy-seven years after the fall of the Third Reich, a fascist mentality is once again spreading in the ruling class. It is ready to commit the worst crimes once again in order to assert its imperialist interests.
The Wehrmacht’s war of annihilation against the Soviet Union in which the Luftwaffe under its then leader Hermann Göhring played a central role, resulted in the death of about 30 million Soviet citizens. A comprehensive nuclear war with Russia would not only turn Europe into a nuclear desert, but it would also call into question the survival of all humanity.
The ruling class knows that the policy of war abroad, as in the past, requires the militarisation of society and the establishment of a dictatorship at home. He wants “we as a society to develop a new normality with the Bundeswehr"

❗Ukrops shelled the Russian city of Belgorod
▫️At approximately 0300, Ukrops launched massive strikes on #Belgorod. As a result of the shelling, 5 civilians were killed, about 5 more were injured, among them a 10-year-old child. At least 40 houses were damaged, 5 of them destroyed.
Several people who died in Belgorod were reportedly from #Kharkov.
▫️At the same time, in the #Kursk region, Russian air defense systems shot down several Ukrop drones at night. In the morning, the APU fired mortars at the suburban village of Tyotkino.
▫️In response, Russian troops launched rocket attacks on the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Novobavarsky and Saltovsky districts of Kharkov around 0500.

Chinese troops will travel to Russia to take part in joint military exercises led by the host and including India, Belarus, Mongolia, Tajikistan and other countries, China’s defense ministry said on Wednesday.
China’s participation in the joint exercises was “unrelated to the current international and regional situation”, the ministry said in a statement.
Last month, Moscow announced plans to hold “Vostok” (East) exercises from Aug. 30 to Sept. 5, even as it wages a costly war in Ukraine. It said at the time that some foreign forces would participate, without naming them.
China’s defense ministry said its participation in the exercises was part of an ongoing bilateral annual cooperation agreement with Russia.
“The aim is to deepen practical and friendly cooperation with the armies of participating countries, enhance the level of strategic collaboration among the participating parties, and strengthen the ability to respond to various security threats,” the statement said.
