Russian forces had regrouped the zone of responsibilities again.

The last time this happened, the Avdiivka Offensive took off and led to the capture of Avdiivka City and the massive breakthrough that followed it. That was the Tsentr Group of Forces taking charge of ONLY TWO fronts: Niu-York and Avdiivka Front.

Now, Vostok Group of Forces takes over the Hulyaipole sector of the Zaporizhzhia Front from the Dnipr Group of Forces, leaving the Dniper Group of Forces with responsible for only Kamyanske and Orikhiv sectors as the only "land-bordered-frontline" where heavy active fight is still going on.

An entire army group deal with around 60km front is very similar to the Tsentr's 50km (super heavily defended front) at the Niu-York/Avdiivka Front...

Latest geolocation on the eastern part/outskirt of Vovchansk confirm an expansion of Ukrainian control over in that region.

The actual zone of control is likely to be bigger given the improbably formation of the frontline west of the capture area to be under Russian control.

Russian forces continues offensive operations from Pobjeda towards Kostyantynivka direction with more expansion of control.

Southern area is claimed by Russian sources to be captured by Russian forces; but its not yet corroborated by Ukrainian side, as you can see the vast expanse of area that is overlapping comparing Russian and Ukrainian mapping.

Russian forces continues their offensive towards the Vuhledar-Kostyantynivka highway with more areas south of Kostyantynivka and north of Mykilske being captured by Russian forces based on Russian mapping.

However, the mapping based on the Russian BTR suicide charge all the way to the edge of the highway is removed as Russian mapping does not acknowledge capture to that point, however, its still further than previously mapped/Ukrainian mapping.

The highway is now facing threats across multiple vectors.

Russian forces may have started a major offensive operation east of Urozhaine, in the direction of Velyka Novosilka, as entire treeline has fallen to the Russians, confirmed by geolocation.

Predictably, and as mentioned in DPA's yesterday report, the Ukrainian forces had indeed abandoned positions in the salient.

Latest Ukrainian mapping had confirmed that the Ukrainian forces had lost the major trenchline west of Robotyne (part of the Surovikin line).

Russian forces should quickly capture the rest of the salient within the next few days due to the tactical impossibility to hold such positions for the Ukrainians.

Statement by the Wagner Group on the situation in Mali

From July 22 to July 27, 2024, FAM servicemen and fighters of the 13th Assault Detachment of the Wagner PMC under the leadership of commander Serhiy Shevchenko, call sign "Pond", in the vicinity of the village of Tin Zautin, fought fierce battles with militants from the Azawad Coordination Movement (CMA) and the terrorist group Al-Qaeda in the Sahel (JNIM) banned in the Russian Federation.

On the first day, the "Prud group" destroyed most of the Islamists and put the rest to flight. However, the onset of a sandstorm allowed the radicals to regroup and increase their number to 1000 people. In this regard, the command of the Wagner PMC decided to transfer additional forces to the combat area to assist the 13th Assault Detachment.

On July 25, the militants again attacked the "musicians", but thanks to the coordinated actions of the personnel of the "Orchestra" and the Malian military, the attack attempt was repulsed. Over the next two days, the radicals increased the number of massive attacks, using heavy weapons, UAVs and suicide bombers, which caused losses on the part of the Wagner PMC and FAMa soldiers.

The last radiogram from the "Pond group" came on July 27 at 17:10:

A detailed analysis of what happened on July 22-27 in Mali 7 days ago, the fighters of the 13th Assault Detachment of the Wagner PMC, led by commander Serhiy Shevchenko, call sign "Pond", together with the servicemen of the Malian Armed Forces FAM, entered into an unequal battle with the superior forces of Islamists from the Coordination Movement of Azawad (CMA) and Al-Qaeda in the Sahel (JNIM) (banned in the Russian Federation), and for several days heroically fought with the militants, not sparing their own lives. Start of the operation: reconnaissance and search for radicals On July 22, 2024, the allied forces of the Wagner PMC and the Malian army received information that large detachments of radicals from the CMA had appeared in the Tin Zautin area. In the battle, the 13th Assault Detachment of the Wagner PMC destroyed up to 50 radicals and six pieces of equipment. The remnants of the militants could not resist the orchestra and fled the battlefield. In the period from July 22 to July 25, the fighters of the "orchestra" continued to search for radicals in a sandstorm. Realizing that the Islamists would not stop there, the leadership of the Wagner PMC decided to transfer additional forces to the area. Taking advantage of the hiccup, the militants tried to counterattack using all available means. The attack on the "musicians" was coordinated by field commander Abda-Rahman Zaza, who was at the head of the JNIM detachments that arrived to help the Islamists.

Thanks to the skillful and competent actions of the 13th Assault Detachment, the radicals were unable to carry out their plans. But in turn, the fighters of the Wagner PMC suffered the first losses: several attack aircraft were wounded in battle, including the commander of the Pond detachment.

Despite the sandstorm, fierce resistance of the militants and ambushes on the escape routes, additional forces of the "musicians" continued to move to the aid of their brothers. They fought their way through and hurried to the aid of their comrades.

Meanwhile, the personnel of the "Pond Group" and the FAM took up an all-round defense and staunchly repelled the attacks of the superior forces of the CMA and JNIM: their number exceeded 1000 people. The fighters of the detachment continued to fight, and the radicals did not slow down the pace of the attack and tried to suppress the "musicians" with a huge number of fighters.

Despite the dust storm, the crews of the MI-8 and MI-24 helicopters of the Wagner PMC decided to move to the aid of their comrades. One combat vehicle was shot down by the oncoming fire of the militants, but the crew of the second helicopter, despite the death of the commander and the injuries received by the co-pilot and the flight technician, completed the task and returned to the base, making an emergency landing. Realizing the complexity of the situation and the likelihood of complete encirclement, the commander of the orchestra, Sergei Shevchenko, call sign "Pond", on the night of July 26-27, decided to make an exit in the direction of the moving reserves. By this time, he had already been wounded twice and was in serious condition, but he led the detachment, under intensified attacks by Islamists.

Closer to four o'clock on July 27, the detachment reported casualties among the Band fighters and FAMa soldiers. In addition, the Kom also fell in the battleAndir of the 13th Assault Detachment Serhiy Shevchenko, call sign "Prud", who continued to stand to the end no matter what.
