استقبل كلاً على حده، اللواء الركن حميد محمد الرميثي، قائد القوات البحرية، واللواء الركن راشد محمد الشامسي، قائد القوات الجوية والدفاع الجوي، واللواء الركن يوسف عبدالله الكعبي، قائد الطيران المشترك، واللواء الركن عوض سعيد بن مصلح الأحبابي، قائد العمليات المشتركة، سعادة عاقل قربانوف، نائب وزير الدفاع الأذربيجاني والمدير العام، وذلك خلال زيارته الرسمية إلى وزارة الدفاع.

وجرى خلال اللقاءات بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك في المجالات الدفاعية، إلى جانب استعراض عدد من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المتبادل.

كما اطّلع سعادته خلال الزيارة على منظومة الصناعات الدفاعية والإنتاج العسكري، وما تشهده من تطور في مجالات التصنيع والتقنيات الحديثة، بما يعكس مستوى الجاهزية والكفاءة.

Major General Staff Hamid Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, Major General Staff Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander of the UAE Air Force and Air Defence, Major General Staff Yousef Abdullah Al Kaabi, Commander of Joint Aviation, and Major General Staff Awad Saeed bin Musleh Al Ahbabi, Commander of Joint Operations, each separately received His Excellency Aqil Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Director General, during his official visit to the Ministry of Defence.

The meetings addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in defence fields, in addition to reviewing a number of issues of mutual interest.

During the visit, His Excellency was also briefed on the UAE’s defence industrial ecosystem and military production capabilities, and the progress achieved in manufacturing and advanced technologies, reflecting a high level of readiness and efficiency.

According to the most conservative estimates, since the beginning of the year, the aggressor state has lost at least $7 billion solely as a direct result of our precise sanctions against Russia’s oil industry and refining sector – due to direct hits, downtime, and delays in shipments.

Based on the results from April, our long-range sanctions have reached a new level across three components: reducing Russia’s oil revenues, as well as the range and intensity of sanctions. It is important that not only is the target itself reached, as defined by the operational objective, but that the downtime of the target is increased or, at the very least, its operations are significantly reduced.

According to the most conservative estimates, since the beginning of the year, the aggressor state has lost at least $7 billion solely as a direct result of our precise sanctions against Russia’s oil industry and refining sector – due to direct hits, downtime, and delays in shipments.

I am grateful to all our warriors of the Defense Forces of Ukraine who, together with the Security Service of Ukraine and our intelligence agencies, are delivering these results. We will scale up our long-range systems capabilities. Decisions are being prepared.

Ukraine continues to degrade the enemy’s ability to strike civilian targets. On April 25, UAV operators struck several Su-57 fighters and a Su-34 fighter-bomber at the Shaykovka airfield, ~1,700 km from Ukraine’s border.
