When your everything can be demolished or taken away ...


Some years ago, I saw "America Made" (2017), a Hollywood movie casting Tom Cruise. In that movie, the weapon and drug transporter Barry Seal earned mountains of cash from the CIA for his delivery to the Central America, where savage civil wars were happening. At the end of the movie, he lost all when polices came and dug up his farm to confiscate his hidden cash.

I watched that movie and I had a thought. What would the movie end if Barry Seal stored his properties in cryptocurrencies, especially private cryptocurrencies ? It seemed that no one could take away his properties anymore, regardless the illegality. However, in the time of the story, about 20 years before Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies were not invented yet.

It was an illustrative example to understand why cryptocurrencies have been mentioned as super tools for criminals and illegal activities. But everything has its two side, the bad and the good. Money is just money. Money is not bad nor good. Just the people and their actions are. In "America Made", Barry Seal and the CIA contributed to the murder and massacre in Central America's civil wars when they delivered weapons and drugs to the rebels and criminals. Barry was paid for his business, which had been not his wish at the beginning.

These days, the world is praying for Ukrainian people because Russia is invading Ukraine. I do not discuss who are wrong or right in this brother-hood war. But millions of pitiful Ukrainian people had to leave their homeland in tears. They left behind their houses, cars, property ... without hoping they could retake when coming home. No bank can give them back their money. The refugees just ran and ran to neighbor countries and left behind everything. Maybe only some among them may have their cold wallets or laptops containing cryptocurrencies.

War happened. Cannons, rockets, bombs ... are destroying everything. In the other side, Russian finance receives sanctions from more than a half of the world. The West lock and take away Russian billionaires' and companies' properties as if there were no law. That is another war, a kind of non-gun war. Non-gun wars are attacking Russia sports, cultures, travels, business, etc. The world is seeing no mercy, no excuse, and of course no freedom with a spirit of "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth". When America attacked some countries, such as Iraq, Afganistan, Yugloslavia, Vietnam, etc, nothing similar of sanctions was observed. Because they were the strong. And a world of "the strong dominate the weak" will not have its true freedom.

Experts said that Russia may use cryptocurrencies to get over the financial sanctions. They may or they may not. However, it is true that if cryptocurrencies are in mass adoption in the world, it seems that the human being finally get their true freedom of assets. No one wants war. But the governments are making wars to revenge wars. How can I feel safe in such a world where my properties are in their hands ? I need my own freedom of possession. And cryptocurrencies are my way. Hi team,
We got reports that there were connection issues at TradeGgre exchange. The mod team and dev team is following the cycle given the needed assistance to the exchange operator.

Core team made policy update for on going bounty rewards including VoteCentral airdrops. We're giving out bounties and airdrops past 5 years non stop.

No other coin community did this much and this long lasting rewards. Now it's time to change it and we believe we can do it.

New Policy
In the future we will no longer provide bounties in general. All leftover fund for bounty and dev will be sent to a burn address. This is in the interests of all existing DeepOnion holders.
