Decode CSAT, our 5th title, took us over 2.5 years from start to finish. Highlights of the book:
1) We identified 32 topics from which questions have been asked in UPSC CSE Prelims CSAT from 2013-2023.
2) After identification of topics and after going through CAPF papers from 2003 onwards, we observed that many questions in CSAT were literally copied from CAPF.
3) Then we segregated 2003-2023 CAPF questions into the 32 identified topics, solved them and placed them in book topicwise.
4) Next step was to frame topicwise model questions similar to questions asked in 2013-2023 CSAT paper for all 32 topics. This is to provide best exam simulation possible by having questions of UPSC standard and mindset.
5) Then we solved 2013-2023 CSAT papers.
6) Plus, we went through 1990-2012 UPSC CSE Question papers and segregated questions topic wise and included the same as chapter wise practice sets in book because even PYQs get repeated verbatim.
7) We have also included topicwise compilations of formulas.
8) Also, like other "Decode Series Books", conscious effort has been made to have this bundle of information in a concise manner i.e. in only 280 pages so that getting to 33% qualification marks does not feel like a laborious task!

You must be aware that these days clearing prelims is perhaps the toughest part of one’s CSE journey. Not just the questions are random and tough, even options are getting cryptic every passing year.
However, there are few candidates who have decoded prelims and clear it comfortably despite all odds. Sparsh Verma, who secured AIR-644 in CSE-21 is one of them.
Following is Sparsh's detailed Prelims Strategy that helped him score 109+ marks in Prelims 2021 GS Paper:

Cut-offs 2023 Prelims.
Golden Rule for 2024 Aspirants:
Go through last 5 years papers. Solve them with honesty.
Check cut-offs of these years and analyze your scores.
Develop skill of identifying difficulty level of these 5 papers and corelate with cut-off (Ofcourse vacancies also decide the cutoff but difficulty level certainly has a role).
When you attempt 2024 Prelims, use this skill in exam hall to identify whether paper at hand is easier or tougher than any of the last 5 years. Then you will be able to guess the number of questions to attempt.
DO NOT OVER-ATTEMPT IN GS!
AND
PREPARE CSAT!!

CSE-23 Topper Strategy-23:
Dr. Ghulam Maya Din cleared CSE-23 with AIR-388 in his 5th Attempt with Medical Science Optional.
He couldn't clear Prelims in first 3 attempts, twice due to GS and once due to CSAT. In his 4th attempt, he reached Interview Stage but couldn't make it to final list.
Here he has shared his journey and detailed write-up on prelims preparation and optional.

Getting far too many DMs for CSAT. Here is my take:
1) 125 candidates of CSE-23 who cleared CSAT have filled this excel regarding what worked for them.
2) Gist is:
a) Solve PYQPs repeatedly and understand concept behind solving a question. Identify weak and strong zones.
b) Solve mocks and identify weak and strong zones.
c) Through PYQPs and Mocks, identify how many questions you need to solve to qualify.
d) Don't stress and exam hall and keep your nerves.
e) Based on your practice, identify whether RC is easy or quant before attempting 2024 CSAT. Solve the easier portion more.
f) Identify doable questions in quant rather than wasting time on tough or lengthy questions.
3) So, more than the exam, it is about the strategy that you devise.
4) Refer this post for Top 10 Focus Areas for CSAT and prepare accordingly.
5) 25 or so days are remaining. This time period is good enough even for late bloomers to qualify CSAT.

My 4th Title, Decode CSAT, is tailor-made 280-Pages Book for quick but effective preparation of CSAT Paper.
It not only has solved PYQs but topic-wise segregation as well. This segregation is important because CSAT is qualifying exam and segregation helps you in focusing on the Key Focus Areas from which major paper is set.
Plus, I had observed that UPSC is copy-pasting questions from CAPF Papers of early 2000s and hence have included solutions of CAPF Papers in book.
UPSC won't repeat its own PYQs from recent years, but will ask questions around similar concepts that were used to solve the PYQs. That is why, the book includes Solved Sample Questions modelled on lines of PYQs.
For further practice, 1990-2012 papers have been segregated topic-wise as UPSC is repeating questions from these age-old papers.
