We're happy to announce that the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) will be adding another 6 stations to the WBGT API on data.gov.sg from 1st Sept 2025

The 6 new Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) stations announced earlier are now live on the WBGT API via data.gov.sg

PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency has just published a real-time API for flood events across Singapore. This will provide up-to-date data on the location and status of flooding events in Singapore.

Key features:

The CEA salesperson, HDB prices, Dengue Cluster, and Master Plan datasets were the most downloaded. The most popular APIs were NEA's weather forecasts and nowcasts, as well as LTA's traffic images.

📢 Upcoming change: Removal of KML/KMZ/SHP datasets from 1 April
From 1 April, we'll be removing all KML, KMZ, and SHP geospatial datasets from data.gov.sg. GeoJSON equivalents are already available, so if you're using any of these formats, we recommend migrating before then.

What you need to do
Check if any of your pipelines uses KML, KMZ, or SHP datasets and switch to the GeoJSON equivalent before 1 April.

Why we're doing this
94% of geospatial downloads are already in GeoJSON, so most users won't be affected. For those still on the other formats, consolidating to GeoJSON lets us maintain data quality better and focus on improving the datasets you actually use. Thank you for your understanding!
