π Usage metrics
https://data.gov.sg/datasets/d_a3ccf37872e0c9a0a3b343ee4b285369/view
The CEA salesperson, HDB prices, Dengue Cluster, and Master Plan datasets were the most downloaded. The most popular APIs were NEA's weather forecasts and nowcasts, as well as LTA's traffic images.
π Search metrics
Queries: https://data.gov.sg/datasets/d_fb7c1bfc71e032ff007084bf8b67d9ff/view
Pages: https://data.gov.sg/datasets/d_78853d8f18e64df6836077d33d44375a/view
Top search queries included public holidays, COE prices, prayer times, weather, PSLE results, and HDB flat prices. Top landing pages were hawker center closures, elections, ACRA entities, AED locations, and lamp post locations.
How will these metrics help you?
As an open data marketplace, we constantly try to balance demand and supply.
Data producers should focus resources on high-demand datasets - improving the quality of valuable datasets and filling supply gaps where users need them most.
By understanding what users are searching for and using, we can quantify demand and identify where to invest next.
We're refining these metrics as a proxy for public impact and would love your feedback on how we might do better.

π’ Upcoming change: Removal of KML/KMZ/SHP datasets from 1 April
From 1 April, we'll be removing all KML, KMZ, and SHP geospatial datasets from data.gov.sg. GeoJSON equivalents are already available, so if you're using any of these formats, we recommend migrating before then.
What you need to do
Check if any of your pipelines uses KML, KMZ, or SHP datasets and switch to the GeoJSON equivalent before 1 April.
Why we're doing this
94% of geospatial downloads are already in GeoJSON, so most users won't be affected. For those still on the other formats, consolidating to GeoJSON lets us maintain data quality better and focus on improving the datasets you actually use. Thank you for your understanding!
