The reason for this question is the following:

A simple wallet connection only works with dapp extensions and in wallets dapp browsers. This is what we used in very old DappBuilder.org

An appkit modal - example on DappBuilder.net - lets your users connect any wallet easier - via QR code, from mobile browser etc.

But: it requires getting a free project ID at cloud.reown.com

This is completely free and easy to get.

But it seems that many users who want to host a dapp do not want to do even this - getting a worse user experience just because of the need to get a free key.

We believe that a good page should have a proper connection button to let any user connect smoothly. We want to confirm this - if anyone wants to have a fully functional connection modal, all of the downloadable pages will support it with fallback to classic in-browser way.
