Pathological liarsโ“

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธPathological lying is a term that refers to the act of lying so naturally and instinctively that the individual finds it easier than telling the truth. Sometimes they can even belleve their own lies. It is a condition that can be damaging to the lives of the sufferer as it destroys careers and relationships.

๐Ÿค“Neurologists have discovered that there are physiological differences in the brains ot pathological liars, who have 22 to 26 per cent more prefrontal white matter and approximately 14 per cent less grey matter It's thought that this diference means pathological liars are more able to make connections between different memories and ideas. However, it is unknown if the increased white matter is the cause of pathological lying or if the practice of trequently lying can cause structural changes in the brain.

It's grey matter that helps us to
control our impulse to lie to others

Joeโ€™s Cooking Catastrophe ๐Ÿ˜…

---

"Hey, got a sec?" said Joe to Sam,
"I'm in a pickle, in a jam."
Sam replied, "What's up, my friend?
Tell me quick, no need to pretend."

---

"I tried to cook, it went awry,
Smoke alarm's up in the sky.
The pastaโ€™s burnt, the sauce is glue,
What should I do? I haven't a clue!"

---

Sam laughed loud, "Oh, what a sight!
Your cooking's always such a fright.
Order pizza, save the day,
And toss that mess right away." ๐Ÿ•

---

"But Sam," Joe groaned, "that's not the worst,
My mom arrives, I'm feeling cursed.
How can I impress with smoke-filled air?
She'll think I live in disrepair."

---

Sam thought a while, then gave a grin,
"Open windows, let fresh air in.
Light some candles, set the mood,
Serve some juice, be a cool dude." ๐Ÿ˜Ž

---

"Great idea," said Joe, relieved,
"Mom's surprise visit, I'm reprieved.
But next time, Sam, I'll let you know,
You'll be the chef, I'll just show!"

---

Sam chuckled, "Deal, it's set,
But don't forget the oven yet.
Turn it off, avoid the blaze,
Your kitchenโ€™s seen its better days." ๐Ÿ”ฅ

---

So Joe got busy, cleared the room,
Banished smoke and cleared the gloom.
And when his mom did finally show,
She never knew of his cooking woe.

---

They laughed and chatted, had a ball,
Pizza saved the night, after all. ๐Ÿ•
And Joe knew, with a friend like Sam,
He'd always have a backup plan.

---

The End ๐ŸŽ‰

Straightened hair has long been the dominant societal standard of beauty for Black women, from the working class to those in government and corporate America to celebrities.

A vast majority of Black women โ€” an estimated 89% โ€” have used chemical relaxers, which are easier and more affordable, at some point in their lives, often beginning in childhood.

Yet there is a growing body of evidence, much of which hasnโ€™t reached the public, that shows a link between these products, directly marketed to Black women and girls, and a number of health disorders in women.
