Microsoft has unveiled a new version of its Bing search engine and Edge browser with technology from OpenAI.

The new Bing, which runs on the OpenAI language model, a more advanced model than ChatGPT, can switch in and out of chat mode. The new Edge browser adds an AI-powered Bing bot for chatting and texting, which can summarize Web pages and respond to queries in conversational form. Responses are accompanied by links to sources so users can see where the information came from.

The new version of Bing is still available as a trial, but the company hopes to give full access to millions of users in the coming weeks, Bloomberg.
