Red wool circuit just takes the input and brings it to all pistons, lime circuit (which may not be visible) deals with storing and pushing extra block, orange circuit (known as a rising edge monostable circuit) deals with switching between opening and closing state since both have different sequences, and last but not least is the blue circuit which is a double piston extender designed by me and I'm not sure if its ever been done before (prolly has)
