Wizz Air continues to celebrate its anniversary 🥳

Today, the airline is offering a 20% discount on the purchase of first-row seats and seats with extra legroom.

This promotion applies to all flights, but only those purchased through Wizz Air's website or app. The offer does not extend to flights to or from Poland.

Yesterday, 14th May, Wizz Air flight W61251 from Katowice to Larnaca was delayed by over 4 hours. The flight was scheduled to depart for Cyprus at 06:15 but eventually took off at 10:31.

Consequently, the return flight W61252 from Larnaca to Katowice was also delayed: instead of 11:00, the flight departed at 15:20.

As a reminder, according to EU Regulation 261/2004, if a flight arrives at its destination more than 3 hours late, passengers may be entitled to compensation.

Experience shows that Wizz Air is often reluctant to pay compensation for delays. The company usually claims that the delay was due to extraordinary circumstances, without specifying further. According to many passenger reviews, companies like AirHelp or Compensair have been helpful in obtaining compensation.

Wizz Air continues to celebrate its birthday and today is offering a 15% discount on select flights departing in June-July.

For example:
Sofia from 18€, Rome from 21€, Athens or Budapest from 32€, Thessaloniki or Tel Aviv from 44€, Abu Dhabi from 49€, Kutaisi from 61€.

Today, 17th May, the Ryanair flight FR3650 from Paphos to Bergamo was delayed by more than 7 hours.

The plane was scheduled to depart from Paphos at 06:00 and arrive in Italy at 08:30. It eventually departed at 13:44.

As a reminder, according to EU Regulation 261/2004, if a flight arrives at its destination more than 3 hours late, passengers may be entitled to compensation.

Starting 28th October, Ryanair plans to resume direct flights between Paphos and Amman 🇨🇾 🇯🇴.

Flights will be scheduled four times a week: on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. As a reminder, Ryanair had removed this route during the summer schedule.

The Schengen visa will increase by 12% from 11th June, according to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

"The European Commission has decided to increase the cost of a short-term Schengen visa worldwide by 12% from 11th June 2024. The new cost of a Schengen visa will be 90€ for adults and 45€ for children aged 6 to 12 years," ATOR cites the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

The increase is due to the need to revise visa fees every three years, taking into account inflation and average wages. The planned increase was announced at the beginning of the year.

❗️Norway tightens entry rules for Russian citizens. Starting 29th May 2024, tourist visas will be nearly impossible to obtain, and entry for tourism and other non-essential visits will be prohibited. This decision was made in support of allies in response to Russia's actions in Ukraine.

Exceptions are provided for visits to close relatives, as well as for work and study in Norway and other Schengen zone countries.
