🇺🇸 It is super annoying that DIA has put aeroballistic missiles & HGVs into the same "hypersonic" category. These threats pose very different challenges. The US has numerous effectors that can intercept aeroballistics but extremely limited capabilities vs HGVs.
Blending the adversaries' inventories together obfuscates the challenge being posed even further. There's a huge difference between Russia fielding hundreds or even one thousand Iskanders, Kinzhals and even Tsirkons and them fielding the same number of HGVs. https://twitter.com/masao_dahlgren/status/1922367742453416386#m
