🇺🇸 Regarding GBU-57A/B MOP:
20 were procured over a decade ago per a USAF publication, but it is unclear if that includes test models acquired via RDT&E. I haven't had time to dig through P-1s and R-1s to find out.
Not sure how many have previously been expended in testing either.
MCAAP has facilitization for 72-96 bombs per year, but MOP was not actively being procured/produced as of the FY2025 budget request. I haven't noticed any reprogramming requests to move money to USAF Ammunition Procurement for that purpose but I would be surprised if that doesn't happen very soon, if not already. https://twitter.com/ColbyBadhwar/status/1790439358471840086#m

@dillonrpayton: There undoubtedly is a need, but there are already many billions in unfunded requirements across the Department. Lots of competition for scarce dollars.
