Malik Diop is a citizen of Senegal. He planned to work as a cook in the Russian army, but ended up in the Toretsk direction, Donetsk region.
Warriors from the 49th Infantry Battalion "Carpathian Sich" captured Malik during combat operations. He told the Defenders from the 12th Special Forces Brigade "Azov" his story in detail. The medical service provided him with the necessary assistance.
Malik told that he faced not only deception by the Russian army, but also racism.
"They constantly called me 'black' and touched me. They touched my skin in a very racist way. I'm not the only one who experienced this. Many students had problems. They fought with Russians because of this. They treat us badly. Inhumanely," he said.
