RT @ChristopherJM: Satellite images made by @Maxar before Ukraine's big drone strike operation show Russian airfields in Belaya, Ivanovo, Ukrainka, Olenya & Ryazan Dyagilevo, as well as close-up views of bomber, transport and airborne warning aircraft.
Maxar writes: "At each of the five airbases, defensive measures have been observed on many of the planes, presumably in an attempt to protect the aircraft from drone attacks by placing tires and other objects on the top of the wings. Additionally, the use of decoy aircraft was also seen at the airbases including painted aircraft outlines on the tarmac and materials positioned in the shape of bomber aircraft."

RT @ZelenskyyUa: When asked by journalists whether yesterday’s operation might enrage the Russians, I responded that just a day earlier, Russia had launched a massive overnight attack on Ukraine, over 480 drones and missiles. They struck civilian infrastructure, residential buildings. There were casualties, people killed and injured.
This happens every single day. Sometimes there’s a short pause, and to be honest, we now call it a “pause” if there’s just no one killed that night. But even then, drones still fly, and people still get wounded. These so-called pauses just mean fewer attacks than usual, but we’re still talking about dozens of drones and cruise missiles.
So no, no one cares whether Russia is angry. What matters is that Russia must move toward ending this war. And as a global community, we must all do what we can to stop them.
We are very much awaiting strong steps from the United States. We hope he will support sanctions and push Putin to stop this war, at least to take the first step toward ending it: a ceasefire. These are critical things. I believe that from the position of the U.S., we will be able to achieve this faster.

@John_A_Ridge @heatloss1986 @WestlannWyvern @PezeshkiCharles: Spain was the initial donor but there are other rumored sources. US has been providing missiles from deep storage. There are numerous USAI awards to US and international sources for repair and sustainment. Some work is being done by the US organic industrial base too. Will have an article on that at some point in the future.

Again it is notable how remarkably resilient optical fiber cable is. https://twitter.com/GrandpaRoy2/status/1884289800678826116#m

@secretsqrl123: Because he’s scared to go out until everything is checked. Any truck in Russia could potentially have drones
All it takes is for Putin to come out and nobody will save him
The humiliation of that attack, the FSB totally failed, UAVs were being built in front of its headquarters

"American and European security officials said battle damage assessments were still coming in from the attacks, which took place Sunday, but they estimated that as many as 20 Russian strategic aircraft may have been destroyed or severely damaged, dealing a serious blow to Russian’s long-range strike capabilities.
Officials said Russia’s losses included six Tu-95 and four Tu-22M...bombers, as well as A-50" AEW&C aircraft.
