‼️As per Russian sources, yesterday evening, a Ukrainian unmanned surface vessel armed with an R-73 air-to-air missile shot down a Russian Su-30 naval fighter roughly 50 km west of Novorossiysk—marking the first time in history that a military aircraft has been downed by an unmanned maritime drone.

/2. A map shared by Russian sources indicates that the Russian Su-30, which was shot down, had taken off from the Saky airbase in Crimea on a mission to search for and destroy naval drones.

💥🛩️ On May 2, 2025, Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence (HUR MO) special unit Group 13, in coordination with the SBU and Defense Forces, destroyed a Russian Su-30 fighter jet using a Magura maritime drone. This marks the first time in history a combat aircraft has been taken down by an unmanned naval platform.

The strike was executed by HUR's special unit Group 13 near the Russian port of Novorossiysk. The aircraft erupted mid-air and crashed into the sea.
