As a tabletop, it can still be useful in forcing European countries to stake stock, realize what the stakes are, and get shaken out of the current paralysis.
However, there's a long way from here to forces on the ground, as part of a "deal".
The Russians do have a vote.

The other option is a unilateral European deployment to Ukraine, but this is a different ballgame.
I might be mistaken, but I have a feeling this isn't what the current discussions are about.

We might get to know a bit more of what's actually being discussed after today's meeting in Paris.

RT @VolodyaTretyak: Ukrainian soldier Serhii Hrytsiv, who returned from Russian captivity in September 2024, describes the physical torture he endured during interrogations—an ordeal that every Ukrainian soldier in Russian captivity must undergo multiple times:
"Interrogations were the worst—electric shocks, beatings with clubs, and suffocation with plastic bags. They filled the bags with rags, placed them over our heads, and only removed them when we were about to lose consciousness. They also used pillowcases filled with water—covering our faces to make us drown.
'Tápiky'—military field telephones with high amperage—were connected to cables and cranked, electrocuting us. Honestly, there wasn’t a single part of my body that wasn’t shocked—ears, fingers, genitals, everything."

RT @hissgoescobra: American is trying to blackmail Ukraine. Let me set the record straight on the rare earth minerals, Mike Walz's lie to Bloomberg News, and the promises America made to Ukraine back in 1994, in writing, to protect it against a Russian invasion. America owes Ukraine. Period.

RT @aidefranceukr: “Already 24 Ukrainian [aspiring pilots] have undergone initial training in the United Kingdom. The [RAF] hopes to train 20 per year. The trainee pilots will then leave for France in spring 2025, where they will continue their training for six months on faster aircraft (Alphajets, also used by the Patrouille de France). Then, they will go to Romania to actually fly the F-16s.”

RT @RyanO_ChosenCoy: This is a common occurrence on the front now.
I’ll spell it out since it may not be obvious to some. A Russian soldier who’s alone with ammunition is killing himself vs attempting to shoot at the threat. “So what”you say, well this shows the absolute 0 morale, 0 will to fight, and shit C&C (he’s by himself in the open) and yes not all units are like this, but it’s becoming more and more common. https://twitter.com/GloOouD/status/1891059426045411751#m

RT @olddog100ua: NATO should have been all the way down to the Dnipro river once North Korea was confirmed part of Russia’s collation. If Putin is successful in Ukraine then Russia, Iran and North Korea will be part of a coalition 6 hours by car from Germany. Russia will forcibly conscript Ukrainian fighting age males doubling Europes problem and The Kremlin will also gain access to all of Ukraines battlefield innovations. Most certainly, Putin will also move his Ballistic and Nuclear arsenal closer to London, Berlin and Paris while people sympathetic to Ukraine will go missing, likely to be never seen again and that will probably include me.
Putin’s intention has always been Kyiv, this hasn’t changed, any peace will be short lived especially if the US isolates Europe and more importantly Ukraine.
Troops need to be moved in fast to give Ukraine and Europe maximum protection.
