@WarInUkraineYet: Because they saw HTS was taking a lot of land and decided it was time to advance to Damascus, and it happened all at once. Assad’s Forces could not defend the country being attacked from every direction by HTS, FSA, SDF, and other militant groups, so the defenses fully collapsed.

@_mind_your_biz @sentdefender: It descended too fast for that. To me it looks like the wing of the plane was hit by Anti-Aircraft missiles over Homs and it quickly descended to crash or emergency land.

@AlDefinitely: We don’t know. There is enough evidence to suggest that the plane was possibly shot down over Homs and then quickly crashed. But there’s no evidence to say that Assad was in the aircraft as of now. However, there were likely Syrian Officials, Commanders in the plane leaving Syria
