The collapse of the SAA between 27 NOV 2024 - 06 DEC 2024.
The opposition forces have reached the outskirts of Homs.
Should they successfully capture the city, they would effectively sever the entire Syrian coastline, which includes two critical Russian military installations: the Khmeimim Air Base and the Tartus naval base.
The loss of these bases would create a significant logistical challenge for Russia's operations in Africa, as there would be no feasible alternatives to ensure sustained support.
