Update 2:
Looks a lot like an anti-ship mission but too early for conclusions. Don't know if the missiles hit anything.

RT @FRHoffmann1: 📢 New Op-ed: How worried should we be about Putin’s nuclear threat?
I have written a short piece for @spectator, outlining the implications of Russia's announced nuclear doctrine change.
Key takeaways:
1. While formal policies, nuclear doctrines mainly serve signaling purposes; they are not ironclad laws of statecraft.
2. Putin's decision to order a nuclear strike hinges on whether the benefits outweigh the costs, not on Russia's nuclear doctrine.
3. Open-source data indicates that Russia is not currently preparing to use nuclear weapons.
4. Panic is unnecessary, and -- in any case -- we must not succumb to nuclear blackmail.

🇺🇸🇺🇦 It's official, President Biden delegates Blinken the authority to direct a drawdown of the remaining $5.55 billion in PDA for FY24. I suspect the DoD will make announcements as they incrementally action the execute order, but time will tell how they manage this.

RT @JenGriffinFNC: VP Harris standing with Zelensky at the White House: “However, in candor, I share with you, Mr. President. There are some in my country who would instead force Ukraine to give up large parts of its sovereign territory. Who would demand that Ukraine accept that neutrality and would require Ukraine to forego all security relationships with other nations. These proposals are the same of those of Putin. And let us be clear they are not proposals for peace. Instead, they are proposals for surrender, which is dangerous and unacceptable.”
