A second announcement slated for Thursday will be for $2.4 billion worth of aid under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative program, which allows the administration to buy weapons for Ukraine from companies rather than pull them from U.S. weapons stocks."

Highlights: No significant changes marked today despite heavy fighting, so we'll focus a bit on the Kreminna area.
Ukrainian forces had been holding steady despite heavy Russian attacks earlier in the year towards Terny and Torske. However, Russian forces pivoted northwards and managed success at Makiivka, and then recently had success at Nevske. The situation isn't particularly critical in the area as it would be if Terny/Torske had fallen, but it certainly doesn't help matters along the Zherebets river.

For the first time aid package will include American Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) glide bombs - ABC News.
The bombs, can be deployed by Ukraine's F-16 fighters, have retractable wings that help them reach targets up to 70 miles away.
