RT @wartranslated: Russian aviation-related channel Fighterbomber debriefs the attack on Marinovka airbase in Volgograd Oblast, which revealed several key issues.
He says that all operational aircraft had flown away before the strike, leaving many non-operational ones behind due to a lack of spare parts. The shelters at the airfield, while helpful for camouflage, were too close together and lacked proper protection against attacks.
Ammunition was stored in one of these shelters, which was hit, leading to significant damage. The bureaucratic issues within the Ministry of Defense are hindering the efforts of building proper sheltering. Additionally, there’s a lack of contractors willing to take on these risky projects due to corruption concerns.
