RT @NATOAWACS: The security level at NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen has returned to Bravo+. The temporary rise to Charlie was a precautionary measure to minimise potential risk to our organisation and personnel. All scheduled operations are proceeding as planned.

RT @wartranslated: Russian aviation-related channel Fighterbomber debriefs the attack on Marinovka airbase in Volgograd Oblast, which revealed several key issues.

He says that all operational aircraft had flown away before the strike, leaving many non-operational ones behind due to a lack of spare parts. The shelters at the airfield, while helpful for camouflage, were too close together and lacked proper protection against attacks.

Ammunition was stored in one of these shelters, which was hit, leading to significant damage. The bureaucratic issues within the Ministry of Defense are hindering the efforts of building proper sheltering. Additionally, there’s a lack of contractors willing to take on these risky projects due to corruption concerns.

RT @Jack_Mrgln: A year ago today, private jet RA-02795 crashed north of Moscow, killing Evgeniy Prigozhin, Dmitriy Utkin, and their trusted circle within the Wagner Group. What’s changed in Russia’s use of Wagner and similar forces since?

RT @Jack_Mrgln: A year ago, I was in the midst of writing a history of the Wagner Group, when a colleague showed me a picture of Prigozhin’s crashed plane. The story of Wagner, and our understanding of Putin’s system, changed yet again.

That book comes out Sept 1:

He says the Stryker's survivability is better than the BTR-80, though RPGs and ATGMs will penetrate. https://twitter.com/wartranslated/status/1826919260276285888#m

RT @andrewmichta: 🧵I have written repeatedly about the threat the "Axis of Dictatorships" (Russia, China, Iran and North Korea) poses to the United States and its allies in multiple theaters. I'm back from Europe some 11 months now and I worry about the lack of urgency in DC on this issue. 1/6
