A Ukrainian M142 HIMARS launcher was destroyed as a result of a Russian strike with (presumably) Iskander-M ballistic missile near Yunakivka in Sumy Oblast of Ukraine.

After firing a GMLRS rocket salvo at the targets inside Kursk Oblast of Russia, HIMARS was parked at a concealed position on the edge of forest, near its firing spot. Its movement was tracked by a Russian UAV.

The Russian strike caused ammunition detonation, which can be seen in the video.

This is the second confirmed irrecoverable loss of a Ukraine-operated M142 HIMARS launcher.

The plane was visibly burning before impacting the ground.

Three pilots of the aircraft managed to eject. There could have been four crew members on board. Tu-22M3 itself crashed 100 meters from the federal highway R-255.
