A number of important developments on PATRIOT & AMRAAM, and deliveries to Ukraine, to highlight

Last week, at the Farnborough Airshow, a Raytheon executive stated (H/T to @audrey_decker9 for this) that they would achieve production capacity of 1200 AMRAAMs by the end of the year. This will help reduce backlogs, which are currently ~2 years from contract award to delivery. The 1200 target has been known for a while but I had not seen any previous reporting that they would meet it this year.

I will also remind everyone that Lot 36, the first to consist entirely of AIM-120D3 & C8, now in production, will have all 547 FMS missiles redirected to Ukraine. This delivery re-sequencing is scheduled to run until the end of FY25, which is when FMS deliveries for Lot 36 are due to conclude. 🇩🇪🇪🇸 The Spanish Army has signed a €205 million framework contract with Rheinmetall for ~500,000 modular propelling charges for 155mm artillery. Delivery will run until the end of 2025 and the contract includes an extension option for 2 additional years.

Russia is steadily expanding its territory northwest of Donetsk. Following the capture of Avdiivka in February, Russian forces have advanced approximately 15 kilometers toward Pokrovsk.
