@JuanDiazPablo1: The smaller one are the effective range for ballsitic missile interception for PAC-3, it is also likely similar to PAC-2’s effective ballistic missile interception range. The large circles are PAC-2’s range against planes, fighter jets, and helicopters. It’s ~160km at 120 degrees

@SenSenCuYo: That’s okay. PAC-2 can still shoot down Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and they maybe able to intercept Kinzhal although PAC-3 is most effective. Iskander-M ballistic missiles make up over 70% of ballistic missiles launched at Ukraine, while Kinzhals make up less than 25% of them

@PhilipOBri3169: That would be the ideal scenario for the defense of major cities and glide bombs. The number one threat on the frontline, Russian glide bombs can be mostly eliminated with 4-5 Patriots on the frontline, well equipped F-16s, ATACMS strikes on airbases in Russia, AWACS, and jamming

@ukraine_map @PhilipOBri3169: With the 3 Patriots and 1 SAMP-T that Ukraine has, and at least 1-2 more PAC-3s from US, 1 from Romania, 1 more SAMP-T from Italy, 2 Patriots that were pledged by Germany, 1 coming from Netherlands, and 8 from Israel, Ukraine would be mostly fully protected from missile strikes.

@MKaleval: There is more than enough missiles. The US has 6000 PAC-2 missiles and 4000 PAC-3 missiles, and most or all Patriot missiles coming off the supply line would be going to Ukraine. This does not count European countries that are and will be sending Patriot PAC-2 missiles to Ukraine

@Howitzer203 @JoeReynolds2020: And then people seem to forget that the US has a stockpile of 6,000 PAC-2 missiles and around 4,000 PAC-3 missiles, including hundreds of Patriot launchers in reserve that they could send for those systems.

@AZ30333: The previous systems did not fail to do anything. At least 2 systems are in Kyiv and they are protecting the city very well against Iskander-M, Kinzhal, X-101, and Kalibr missiles. Some may incorrectly think the systems failed to do something, but that is because there is so few systems in the country three systems, only protecting Kyiv and one other place.

The Patriot Systems will
1. Defend against Ballistic Missiles
2. Defend cities like Dnipro, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa
3. Defend F-16 air bases from missile strikes
4. Defend critical infrastructure
5. Shoot down Russian fighter jets, helicopters, and aircraft like the Patriot that Ukraine has did effectively
6. Make a safer air space for F-16s
7. Defend nearly 100km over the frontline shooting down Russian fighter jets launching glide bombs from above Russia

The problem isn’t the systems themselves, the problem is the quantity of systems that Ukraine has. Ukraine has 3 Patriot and 1 SAMP-T when they need at least 16 systems to effectively defend the country and parts of the frontline.

Patriot cannot do what Ukrainian BUK and S-300 can against ballistic missiles. Today. Ukraine has no ability to intercept Iskander-M or Kinzhals other than with Patriots and SAMP-T. There is also no missile shortage, US has several thousands of PAC-2 and several thousands of PAC-3 missiles, most missiles being made by Raytheon will now be prioritized to go to Ukraine over other countries as production increases, and European countries together will continue sending Patriot missiles to Ukraine. Also, Russia launches a lot less ballistic missiles than they do cruise missiles when accounting for large missile strikes. Russia launches 300 to 400 Iskander-M and Kinzhal missiles per year. If paired with other systems like NASAMS and IRIS-T mainly made for intercepting cruise missiles then Ukraine will have sufficient defenses in each city to have a Patriot and a NASAMS or IRIS-T to defend against cruise missile and ballistic missile attacks.

US also have over 500 launchers, many in reserve that that could send to Ukraine. Ukraine only lost 2 Patriot launchers and that was when the Patriots were not active and on the move in the frontline. Launchers can be replaced, while entire batteries are harder to replace and Ukraine has not lost an entire battery of Patriot, NASAMS, or IRIS-T.

@clashreport: Thanks for confirming that the Russian fighter jet flew dangerously close to an MQ-9 Reaper coming from behind and not the other way around. The MQ-9 is a snail compared to a Su-35

It’s another perfect example of Russian propaganda, it convinced a bunch of Pro-Russians online 🤡
