Military activity in Belarus in April 2024. Briefly:

• Combat readiness inspection in Belarus continued in April. It became the largest in the history of the Belarusian Armed Forces.

• The Belarusian Air Force received the second batch of four Mi-35M helicopters from Russia. There are already 8 such helicopters at Machulishchy airfield. It’s planned to increase their number to 12.

• The aviation group of the Russian Aerospace Forces increased by one fighter in a month.

• The number of the Russian Armed Forces in Belarus hasn’t changed. The contingent of the Russian Armed Forces continues to be stationed in the same locations as before.

• The number of mercenaries of PMC Wagner in Belarus remains low. They continue to train security forces of Lukashenka regime.

Combat readiness inspection in April. Main events.

Earlier we have already written that this combat readiness inspection became the largest among all similar events in the history of the Belarusian Armed Forces.

The inspection continued in April, here are the key events:

• On April 1, command-staff drills with the 336th Rocket Artillery Brigade began as part of the combat readiness inspection. The units marched to new position areas, relocated the command post and fought against sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

• On April 9-11, tactical drills with the 19th Mechanized Brigade became a key stage of the combat readiness inspection. The units practiced repulsion of the conditional enemy’s offensive, destruction of illegal armed groups, sabotage and reconnaissance groups, etc. During the drills, servicemen also practiced covering one of the important state facilities with air defense means.

According to our data, the training of Belarusian military specialists at training centers on the territory of Russia continued in April.

For example, a group of servicemen of the Belarusian Armed Forces continued training in the specialty “sniper” at the 56th training center for junior specialists of the motorized rifle troops of the Russian Armed Forces in Sertolovo (Leningrad oblast, Russia).

Also, during the month, the training of the 7th Separate Tank Battalion of the 11th Mechanized Brigade continued at the 333rd combat training center in Mulino (Nizhny Novgorod oblast, Russia). The soldiers performed firing exercises with the T-72B3 tank and practiced marching as a platoon. Then, on April 21, the servicemen completed their training and returned to Belarus.
