Today, I would like to express my gratitude to the volunteers from around the world who have contributed to the GeoConfirmed project.

In the ongoing fight against misinformation, volunteers who engage in geolocation play a vital role in answering the questions of "WHERE," "WHEN," "WHAT," "HOW," and "WHO."
Geolocation, as a fact-checking technique, provides valuable insights by matching landmarks and features in images or videos with locations on a map, aiding in event analysis and verification.
By determining the location of events, geolocation helps establish the timing of occurrences (WHEN), uncovers the nature of events (WHAT), and how they transpired (HOW), and assists in identifying the individuals involved (WHO). This process lays the foundation for a more profound understanding and verification of information, contributing significantly to combating misinformation and ensuring accuracy in reporting and analysis.
