@bobrock992 @tochnyi: That was from one commander on one part of the front at one time. That doesn't mean it is representative of the entire front, but we were told consistently that Russia has a quantitative (not necessarily qualitative) FPV advantage.

@Christophe45079: Yeah, the point isn't that driving a motorcycle into an assault is a safe method, it's that driving into an assault on the roof of a slow-moving MT-LB that will probably get hit by an FPV may not be any better.

We often focus on high-end weapons for Ukraine, but Ukraine also needs many basic systems like M113 or armored humvees in large numbers. Providing more M113 is a simple way to reduce Ukrainian KIA/WIA.

@AndrewPerpetua @tochnyi: I agree with you, and it is important to take into account various data sources before coming to a conclusion. I'll just say that the Ukrainian units we met with are very diligent in tracking FPV/ammunition usage, and we heard a fairly consistent theme from different parts of the front.

370m east from tweet 1020,🇺🇦44th Artillery Bde hit🇷🇺infantry along the road.
At 0:06 something is hit and explodes at 47.433194, 35.828929. A closer view doesn't reveal what it is, but 15m away there's maybe a newly abandoned AFV at 47.433188, 35.828662. It looks like it may have crashed or slipped off the road's causeway.
