Is the number of PMC Wagner mercenaries in Belarus decreasing?
According to our data, at least part of the mercenaries of PMC Wagner may have left Belarus for Russia. A probable reason for departure could be participation in the training of volunteer formations of Rosgvardiya before sending them to the front. However, the exact number of mercenaries who left Belarus is unknown.
As for the current number of mercenaries stationed in Belarus, we estimate it at several hundred people, and in February, they continued to train the Internal Troops and the Belarusian Armed Forces in:
• Minsk. At the Valoushchyna training center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, where the 6th training course for servicemen of special forces units was completed under the guidance of PMC Wagner.
In total, from July 2023 to February 2024, more than 1600 people have underwent training with the mercenaries of PMC Wagner.
