A combined strike would be the most effective way to destroy the Kerch Bridge. The missiles, drones, and decoys needed would be

1. Taurus mainly to strike the pillars of the two bridges (the railroad bridge and vehicle bridge)

2. Unitary ATACMS M57/M57E1 to weaken the pillars and the overpasses after Taurus missiles strike, possibly causing them to collapse

3. Combined with Naval Kamikaze Drones like Sea Baby as a way of attack from the water to destroy and weaken the pillars of the bridge

4. Cluster ATACMS M39A1 to take out air defense systems around the bridge before the main strike with Taurus missiles occurs

5. Ariel Drones/ADM-160 MALD/S-200s as decoys for air defenses

6. Possibly Storm Shadow, SCALP-EG cruise missiles to strike certain parts of the bridge

@ukraine_map @Dodi_: Theoretically, Ukraine could destroy the Kerch Bridge, the road bridge specifically, with only 300km Unitary ATACMS M57/M57E1, but they would need ~50 of them to fully collapse a section due to their accuracy, the holes they would create, and the fact that they strike directly from the top not at a significant angle or from the side like cruise missiles do.

However, the Kerch Bridge is weaker than the Kherson Bridge in most places so it would not hurt for Ukraine to try to use 10 Unitary ATACMS just to see the damage they would do to the road bridge. The weaker the Kerch Bridge is, the more damage the ATACMS would cause, but if the bridge is strong like the Kherson Bridge then an absurd amount of ATACMS would be needed to destroy it by continuously making holes and cracks in one location of the bridge, hoping to crack the overpasses and the possibly columns.

On the other hand, the railroad bridge is much stronger, it is thicker, and smaller in width making it easier for ATACMS to miss it and harder for them to cause significant damage.

The most effective way to destroy the Kerch Bridge would be to use about 20-30 Taurus Cruise Missiles and a dozen Naval Kamikaze Drones like Sea Baby to significantly weaken the pillars of both bridges and then for unitary ATACMS to hit the damaged areas from the top causing the overpasses to collapse into the water.

This is an important strike to carry out, the Kerch Bridge is the most important target to hit in Ukraine because over 25% of the equipment going into Southern Ukraine goes through that bridge. Russia would be completely cut off from Crimea and it would destroy a lot of their logistics going to the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia fronts making it much easier for Ukraine to make big advances in the South.

US and Germany need to stop being scared of Russia and send Ukraine Taurus and ATACMS missiles so they can destroy the Kerch Bridge for good

@KyivIndependent: If? Iran already sent 400 ballistic missiles to Russia. What is US waiting for? It’s a massive escalation and 98% of Ukraine has nothing to defend against them because NATO needs over 150 ballistic missile air defense systems to do nothing and only sent Ukraine 3 Patriot systems.
