Belarusian Hajun received confirmation of the rotation of the Russian military at Mazyr airfield. We wrote about the possible rotation on December 11.
On December 14, An-12 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces flew from Homiel airport to Russia. The aircraft arrived on December 9 and has been at the airport all this time. According to our information, it brought and took away the Russian military.
It’s usual practice to rotate military contingents outside their home country. However, we should stress that the Russian military at Mazyr (Bokau) airfield don’t have any legal status (as a military base, combat training center, etc.). Officials haven’t publicly commented on this topic.
The total number of the Russian military who may be stationed at the airfield is up to 300 people. We may assume that the rotation affected about ⅓ of the contingent (more than 80 people).

Have Wagner mercenaries joined Belarus’ Internal Troops?
On December 14, Russian propagandist Konstantin Pridybailo wrote on Twitter that mercenaries of PMC Wagner had joined the Internal Troops of Belarus. He ‘confirmed’ his claim with the information that the symbols of PMC Wagner are officially displayed at the 2nd Militia Brigade (military unit 3310).
Tornado special purpose detachment was recently established on the basis of the brigade. On December 14, the press service of the Internal Troops published a photo report from the detachment’s presentation. Flags of PMC Wagner were indeed placed on one of the pickup trucks and the flagpole. Pridybailo claims that the mercenaries became staff members of the Tornado detachment. The propagandist didn’t mention any facts to confirm his words.
Back in August, the flag of the Wagner mercenaries was placed at the Valoshchyna training center of the Internal Troops. If the conclusion that the me...

Last week, participants of the war against Ukraine, who fought on the side of Russia, addressed students of Russian State Social University in Minsk. The university titled the news about this event with the words “People to look up to.”
“Today, within the walls of our branch of the university, there was an important meeting of students and people who should be looked up to and taken an example from,” the university reported.
The students were also offered to take an example from the “teacher,” informational warfare specialist Aleksandr Pylkov. He was dressed in a militaristic-colored hoodie with patches: Russian flag, inscription “We are Russians, God is with us” and “Kurgan.”
It’s said that he spoke to students about the manipulation of opinion and society through the media and social networks and “shared his memories of his time in the special military operation zone.”

According to @MotolkoHelp, Lukashenka’s “wallet” Mikalai Varabei re-registered his Embraer Legacy 650 business jet in Latvia and changed the registration number.
Yesterday the plane took off from Riga with a new registration number and went to Dubai via Geneva. Earlier, his business partner did the same. As we can see, planes used by sanctioned oligarchs are registered without any problems in Latvia:

Has the number of vehicles in the camp of PMC Wagner in Belarus decreased?
In our review of military events in October, we assumed that due to a shortage of vehicles in the Russian army, we should expect a decrease in the number of Wagner mercenaries’ vehicles stationed in Tsel village. It seems that this has indeed happened.
According to satellite images, a decrease in the number of vehicles in the northern part of the Wagner camp was recorded in November. A significant reduction of vehicles was also noted on December 13-18. According to our estimates, the number of vehicles in the camp could have decreased by 30% in November-December.
As of early October, there were about 1040 vehicles (mostly cars, buses, etc.) in the camp.
We may assume that the vehicles could have been taken back to Russia and handed over to the Russian military. The realization of such a scenario is indicated by the shortage of vehicles in the Russian Armed Forces....

The famous Il-76 captured by the Taliban in the 1990s arrived in Belarus.
Yesterday at 22:51, the Il-76TD (RA-76842), which is currently operated by the Russian airline Aviakon Tsitotrans, landed at Minsk National Airport.
Apparently, the aircraft arrived for technical inspection at Minsk Civil Aircraft Plant No.407. The plane is 29 years old – very respectable age, but it’s remarkable not for that.
This plane was intercepted by Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan on August 3, 1995. The Taliban raised a fighter jet into the sky and forced the Il-76 to land in Kandahar. The Il-76 had 7 crew members on board and was carrying ammunition for the Northern Alliance. The entire crew, together with the plane, was taken captive for 378 days.
On August 16, 1996, under the pretext of regular maintenance of the plane, the crew managed to start the engines and escape through Iran.
