One part of my captioning is confusing. The Russian POW speaks Russian in the interview, but mentions at the end that he is able to speak Ukraianian as he is from Crimea and used it when surrendering.

@BreizhGardener @DefMon3: Actually there are few death notices for them currently. As of last week I only noticed 2. Of course their losses will also be higher than that by now, but as committed later than other UAF unit I think your comparison is incorrect. It would be better made with the 47th Mech Bde.

Four interviews with POWs from the🇷🇺4th Military Base:
1/4. Grenadier of, 5th Comp, 2 M-R Batt, 4th Military Base: Our guide disappeared after the battle. They didn't know their way back. Five of them were left in Robotyne so surrendered.
Interview released 25/08, but he appears in earlier group film from 24/08. One in the group surrendered on 13/08.

2/4. Mobilised Dagastani. Says they were left in a scorched field with no food or water. Ordered to help find a WIA which they couldn't locate among many RuAF KIA. Sheltered in a dug out from shelling and drones then surrendered when UAF turned up.
Initially, there was 20 of them. 5 or 6 refused to go, some were wounded. 7 men finally got to the position. Two men and one man from convoy had also left by the next morning.

On POW interviews in general we still have to be careful at taking everything as fact. Both sides will want their prisoners to emphasise certain lines. Additionaly POWs may say certain things they think their captors want to hear or lie or embellish to hide the degree of their role in combat. Still I don't claim what is true or not here, just present summaries of what is said.

4/4. 6th Company gunner say his unit had 4 BMP of which two were burnt out. 2 were left intact. They were sent Robotyne, shelling started, they moved to the dugout, but surrendered when UAF arrived, more or less voluntarily without shooting.
Claims there are mountains of bodies.
Interview released 06/09 but appears in earlier film from 24/08. Another in group surrendered on 13th.

Less detail, more standard lines: Very limited supply of water, food + ammo. "Now I understand, this all is not true. We were told about fascists, that will beat and torture us, so do not surrender. When I got here, nobody hurt me... I will not fight any more".
