@mkorhonen12345: The issue I have with the line of thinking presented in the original article is the belief that more warheads will solve this issue.

I'm not in the ICAN camp, but I would rather see the US spend money on conventional capabilities that can be used such as getting the US Navy ready for a Pacific War, instead of pouring money into new nukes.

I think current US nuclear capabilities are sufficient for the foreseeable future.

Other interesting note: The 82nd is one of the best trained Ukrainian units dedicated for this offensive.

Based on OS the unit was created out of an experienced battalion of the 80th Air Assault Brigade. And was given very good gear...

So apparently for the first time, the Ukrainian infantry was spotted behind the first line of Russian defenses on the approach to Verbove, Orikhiv axis.

It's yet to become clear if this was a reconnaissance/infiltration attempt or genuine breach, which the AFU can now exploit.

This is likely an irretrievable loss, taking into account the extent of fire.

@astraiaintel @FabuJack: I just blocked you since you blocked me. Btw, that is the 1st Surovikin line . They are not really past it, they are in between the anti tank ditch and the manned trench of the 1st Surovikin line. There are no signs of RU defenses folding.
