This is not true. Russia has generally left its regimental and division headquarters in place on the front in the south, but has rotated companies and battalions from other regiments/brigades (including naval infantry and mobilized rifle units) to deal with attrition.

@whatismoo: I think the 42nd MRD and other units were just given a long time to prepare the defenses and think through the plan, so it makes sense to keep their leadership in charge.

RT @nckename8: The four phases of an offensive operation are:
Phaze I – Movement to Contact
Phaze – II Attack
Phaze III – Exploitation
Phaze IV – Pursuit
Dear experts, the question is: in which phase of an offensive operation is Ukraine?

@BrewCrewBill @DefMon3: Ukraine has inflicted heavy losses on Russian forces. If Russia did not rotate its troops in the Orkhiv area, they would have collapsed by now.

@dare_2_b_darren: Yes. I would presume similar.
Rob Lee (Twitter)

@von_manderley: Yes, but they do rotate.

@JanSuurtoll: It was released on a public Telegram channel first with the units logo so I presume its been cleared.

@moklasen: Yep, the 4 digit mobik regiments are often used piecemeal, including by the 291st.

Ukraine has inflicted heavy losses on Russian forces in that direction. If Russia was not rotating forces, Ukraine probably would have broken through by now. Compared to Kherson or Kharkiv, Russia now has more manpower and forces available. They can handle attrition better. 2/

@ChrisC50878795 @BrewCrewBill @DefMon3: It is a rotation but after those units take losses. They are being degraded, and Russia may be forced to rotate the regimental HQs but they are also building new units as well.

@nikola_mikovic: My understanding is that they've been doing a smaller more covert mobilization every month since it began. You are right that they may need to do another overt mobilization.
