I learned this weekend that Wagner is using Z-STS and AMN-590951 VPK-Ural MRAPs, which isn't surprising. The other equipment we saw we previously knew they operate. The appearance of Chekan MRAPs, which only Wagner uses, was strong confirmation these were Wagner columns.

Kartapalov was the previous Deputy Defense Minister of the MoD's Main Military-Political Directorate. He also commanded Russian troops in Syria while Wagner was doing much of the fighting.

TASS in their article summarazing the recent events used the term военный мятеж - "military mutiny."

Their coverage restricts itself mainly to official statements and press releases.
