People have disputed🇺🇦vehicle losses from the border raid. IMO all 7 vehicles are UAF losses. But people are right to question. Many smelt a rat about these 2. IMO this🧵is correct in explaining why. Yes 2 losses but moved from elsewhere for the camera. This has been done before.

I actually scanned back over past HMMWV losses to see if they were older ones. I could not find anything, but if you turn anything up let me know. The bullet holes in one of the windscreens and the shrapnel damage to the other's front stand out as damage.

The tweet is just to stay mindful that RU prop can play around with this. @PUFFPUGMaster + @Oranjemarker found many examples of duplicated losses due to relocation for the cameras.

To clarify. Currently I do not see evidence that these 2 HMMWV were captured previously in an earlier battle in Ukraine (but that might change). My best guess is they are losses from the same raid but moved from a nearby point of capture for the cameras.

Agree. Seen some not too intelligent takes over the past few days.

Sometimes I deliberately refrain from commenting on ongoing info ops. But when I see journalists asking "is this the start of civil war in Russia?", prehaps it is time to point out the obvious, despite the flak?
