.@pmakela1's take on a possible Russian offensive.
He's thinking along similar lines as I have done.
Continued attacks on the current frontline is likely to result in high casualties, but unlikely to change the course of the war, so the Russians will have to look elsewhere.

@OKOSISI_NA_OMOR What does that have to do with homelessness?
By helping Ukraine, US stopped a larger war from happening in Europe, stopped Russia from making the Soviet Union again, stopped Russia from invading more countries, and saved millions of civilians that would’ve died if Russia had won

@PaddyIrish14 This is a lost for the US Amey. JDAMs in the Air Force and Navy category. We also don't know a lot of information about how Ukraine will implement their usage.

@novichok_1 Это сильно зависит от ситуации, 200х обычно тоже не просто так не забирают, а потому что к этому вынуждают обстоятельства

@yslburner12345 From everything on that list, what would help Ukraine 🇺🇦 the most would be Gray Eagle UAVs that USA has been considering for the past 7 months
Abrams wouldn’t be given soon to Ukraine because of logistics, C-Ram is too short range, Oshkosh ATVs and Strykers could be very helpful

@jmccree88 @pmakela1 It's way too early to make hard conclusions and rule out a renewed attack from the north. Such an attack is unlikely in the short term, but the longer-term picture is much more complicated.
If the Russians intend to stick to their aims they have to come up with something new.

@russiansupr US has over 4,400 Strykers, and they would help Ukraine a lot when used with Tanks and Bradleys. I hope Ukraine has Strykers soon

The arrival of Orthodox Christmas did not seem to impede naval operations with a small task force at sea on Jan-03.

@jmccree88 @pmakela1 Short term for me in this respect is 2-3 weeks, i.e what remains of January. Beyond that, things are much more uncertain and the situation can change.
