All red markings on images are done by the original poster. Do not get confused and think they are mine.
I have made sure the geolocation is correct by checking google street view.

According to the original poster marked figure in picture one is supposed to prove the direction of the incoming grad rocket. The image is correct, but their interpretation is wrong. As can be seen, the debris should travel in the same direction as the rocket traveled .

The rocket explodes on impact, which means the debris in the direction of travel will fly far away before hitting the ground.

I think this image better explains what happens close to the rocket. Now look at their proof again, what you see on the ground is the shockwave damage, not the flying debris from the blast.

The view in this image is facing north, the shockwave damage can be seen south of the impact hole which is consistent with a launch site south of the impact hole.

My conclusion is the rocket came from the south to south-east and was most likely fired by the Russians.

@JamestNichols The direction affects the pattern yes. It has to do with the angle of the impact.

@JamestNichols How about you take those numbers and prove me wrong if you think I'm wrong?
