RT @noclador: I love this russian army artillery video:
1) antique guns with insanely rusty sights
2) & so 90% of rounds fell short
3) & they use branches (!) as ramrods
4) & only 1 (!) round detonated, as they use ancient impact fuzes, which don't work in mud.
😂😂

Last night, Ukrainian strikes hit the "SOLEMAR" hotel located in the seaside town of Zaliznyi Port in Russia-occupied part of the Kherson Oblast. The attack was presumably carried out with M142 HIMARS or M270 MLRS.
The building was reportedly occupied by FSB personnel.

.@shashj offers some highlights in this tread from a couple of very interesting articles in the Economist
The Ukrainians suspect that Russia is preparing for new offensives in early 2023.
“Anyone who underestimates Russia is headed for defeat” - Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky

@shashj:
Zaluzhny insists that Russia is preparing resources "somewhere beyond the Urals" for an attack “in February, at best in March and at worst at the end of January”, he says. He warns that it could come in Donbas, in south or even against Kyiv. https://t.co/uGItNhY4Ce https://t.co/aJWE7PpmeS

1. Maybe a thread of UAF MT-LB adaptions?
Can't decide either if this is a ZU-23-2. Doesn't quite look long enough, but maybe it's the perspective.

interesting Ukrainian MT-LB mod. with a ZU-23-2(?) turret https://t.co/7WmtXxajLC

2. Ukrainian adaption MT-LB-12 as described. It has been given the emblem of the 116th Poltava Territorial Defence Brigade. Film in link of it being tested + the information that the gun was modified to provide greater elevation and a 2-3km longer range.

@UAWeapons:
#Ukraine: An unexpected product from the workshop of Ukrtransgaz, a subsidiary of Naftogaz, the Ukrainian national Oil & Gas company.
Their staff assisted in the creation of another "MT-LB-12" self-propelled gun, made from captured MT-LB vehicle & an MT-12 Rapira 100mm AT gun. https://t.co/ezwCpM2dEO

@GeromanAT But did you read my post? Because I said it was “months” that’s my point, but you knew that you couldn't respond to it properly so you shortened the time frame to weeks at the start of Winter season
Just compare what Russia to took since September and what Ukraine got since then

@TheAnsw3r1ng @GeromanAT He brought up weeks. I wrote about months from August-September. Then he goes straight to weeks, when winter started. Ukraine 🇺🇦 did a big push from August to mid-November. While Russia hasn’t taken anything since July. But he only wants to look at the days where nothing happened
