Kyiv needs a lot better air defense

Kyiv is Ukraine’s capital 🇺🇦 and the most important city. However, it has weaker air defenses than some frontline cities

It appears as though Ukraine was prioritizing air defenses for cities near the warzone leaving Kyiv vulnerable to attacks

@WWFerguson2 By my tracking of Ukrainian Air Defenses for the past 2 months, the cities of Dnipro #1 and Odesa #2 have better air defenses than Kyiv, and Kyiv has similar strength air defense to a handful of other cities near the front. I’m surprised IRIS-T is in the South when Kyiv needs it.

@EaDenGrusomme @WWFerguson2 Yes that’s partly the reason. Kyiv wasn’t attacked for months. Now Kyiv has gaps in their air defenses. I believe Kyiv thought it was diplomatically protected with all the embassies. And that Russia wouldn’t cross the red line of attacking Kyiv with active Embassies. But they did
