RT @GuyPlopsky: Another example of an asymmetric loadout that has seen use in Ukraine. Here we see a Russian Mi-35M attack helicopter armed equipped with four 9M120 Ataka ATGMs & three B-8V20A rocket pods (each pod houses up to 20 80mm S-8-series FFARs).

#Ukraine: The first photos of a D-1 152mm howitzer in use by Russian (LNR) forces- they were transferred to the DNR/LNR in the end of August, but photos appeared just now.
The D-1 first entered service with the Red Army in 1943.

Primarily, D-1 howitzers were returned to use because they use their own projectile type which is different from other 152mm platforms (D-20, Giatsint, Msta).

Their deployment can provide an increase in firepower amidst the depletion of ammo for the previously mentioned systems.

RT @jseldin: "#Putin's saber rattling is reckless, #nuclear saber rattling is reckless & irresponsible" per @SecDef

"We take this very seriously" he says, noting the US has not yet seen any indicators at this point to suggest Putin has decided to, in fact, use nuclear weapons
