2. He has no idea about the numbers
3. The 5-6 regiments in Lyman could only field 500 soldiers, which would indicate them being in a horrible state.

These are the units I believe retreated from Lyman area.
I don't believe for a second the AFU expected to blow past Lyman during the first days after crossing the Oskil river. Lyman was a key position which the Russians had about a week to prepare.
