Locals report that the barge bridge was disassembled by Russians. One of theories is that it’s due to the fact that a bunch of other barges which Russians used as ferries were destroyed by Ukrainian strikes.

@T_90_M @GeromanAT Even though Ukraine didn’t prepare well for the 2022, they still had a good military compared to what they had in 2014. I knew they would not lose Kyiv. But since the government didn’t prepare at all after being warned for 6 months, Ukraine lost a lot of land without any battles.

@T_90_M @GeromanAT If Ukraine actually prepared for the Invasion and invested more money into weapons and creating tanks. Dug the trenches, mined the bridges, militarized borders. Then they wouldn’t need to be begging NATO to give them stuff now, and wouldn’t have lost 10% of the country in 5 days.

#Ukraine: Today, the Ukrainian 25th Airborne Brigade hit a Russian Su-30SM multirole fighter aircraft, presumably with a MANPADS or other short range AD system, severely damaging one engine.
The fate of the aircraft and crew is unknown.

@RuneLinding @minna_alander One can't approach a aggressive Russia at war, currently mobilizing, just by hoping that if someone replaces Putin, it will end.
There's a good chance whoever comes after Putin actually could be worse, not better, so there's a need to plan and act accordingly.

A year prior to the Invasion,
Military Spending was decreased, Neptune program was delayed, Cruise missile program suspended, ATGM sold to Saudi Arabia, Air defense program suspended.

Putin invaded Ukraine for a number of reasons, Ukraine defunding military, stopping military programs, Russia has a lot of spies in Ukraine, borders were basically open, government is corrupt, and USA/NATO did nothing back in 2014.

@T_90_M @Rustkoh @GeromanAT There was a ton of mistakes made by Ukraine since 1995 that basically made it very weak militarily and add that with a corrupt government stealing money and spies basically in every town. There is not many bases near Crimea, Luhansk, or Kyiv. Those things should’ve not been done.

@T_90_M @Rustkoh @GeromanAT If Britain tomorrow says there’s a minimal chance of a military conflict then gives away all their nukes. They’ve just severely weakened themselves. Ukraine gave away, not some, but all their nukes. They didn’t even keep one. It was a massive stupid mistake which cost them a lot.

@T_90_M @Rustkoh @GeromanAT It was largely due to the corruption in the government and Russia not wanting their previous Soviet Countries having any Nukes. And they signed and agreement which doesn’t cost more than the paper it was written on. Then Ukrainian military was torn up and thrown into the garbage.
