Another video of the strike with sound indicates it was probably a missile/GMLRS strike. (H/t @sterion75)

Not sure about unprecedented. Russia did not have air supremacy during the fighting in the Donbas and achieved some gains, and I'm pretty sure Ukrainian tactical aviation is active in the south. Isn't that why they've been destroying Russian air defenses with HARM missiles?
-----------
@PhillipsPOBrien:
For those wondering why the Ukrainian advance seems slow, I want to say it’s not. It’s unprecedented. The Ukrainians are trying to advance without air supremacy and tactical air support (the prerequisite for almos all successful offensive campaigns since 1939 or even 1918)

The head of board of directors and vice president of Lukoil, Ravil Maganov, died after falling out of window of the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow.
P.S: Is someone counting how many top managers of Russian largest companies have died a mysterious death in last half year?

@MarkHertling While Russia has an overall numerical advantage in armor in the war, I think the balance is much closer in Kherson. There is already some evidence of Ukraine massing its armor in tactical engagements against light Russian forces and having success.

@MircoMarcheggy I haven't seen much but I suspect Russia will try to respond to Ukrainian advances with aviation.

We knew that Vostok 2022 would be far smaller than previous annual command-staff exercises, but compare the first two photos from the Vostok 2022 opening ceremony to the last two from Vostok 2018.

Video of the opening ceremony of the Vostok 2022 strategic command-staff exercise at the Sergeevsky training area in Primorsky Krai. It appears Deputy Defense Minister Colonel-General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov was the senior Russian official in attendance.
