Ukraine’s General Staff reports that Defense Forces strikes on May 28–29 damaged the Volgograd Oil Refinery in Russia, with the annual capacity of 14,5mln tons of oil.
According to the statement, fires were recorded at the facility, with primary oil processing units AVT-1, AVT-3, AVT-5, and AVT-6 reportedly hit, along with secondary refining installations. The refinery is said to have suspended production operations following the attack.
Some Russian sources have also described the strike as unusually large-scale, reporting dozens of impacts across the refinery complex. https://twitter.com/GeneralStaffUA/status/2060323286270034202#m
