RT @RFERL: A Ukrainian drone strike targeted the Syzran oil refinery in Russia, located more than 800 kilometers from Ukraine.

Samara regional Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported two deaths and injuries following the attack.

Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces later confirmed the strike, saying the refinery supplies fuel to the Russian military.

The Norwegian Joint HQ report a sharp increase in QRA scrambles, especially since mid April, and mostly against maritime patrol aircraft.

They assess that the Russians feel a greater need for control up north, based on the perceived Ukrainian threat.
