Drone operators from the Azov Corps brigades “Bureviy” and “Liubart” shared details of their participation in the NATO Aurora 2026 exercises in Sweden, where Ukrainian crews took part as the opposing force (OPFOR) for NATO participants of the wargames.
1) During a mechanized assault scenario, Ukrainian crews together with Sweden UAV Center pilots “destroyed” 28 out of 32 vehicles.
2) In another scenario, Ukrainian drone crews and the Sweden UAV Center breached the defenses of a military airfield in less than 20 minutes without losing a single drone and struck all designated targets.
3) The effectiveness of FPV and reconnaissance drones became so unpredictable and disruptive that organizers had to limit their participation in certain stages of the exercises, as other units could not complete scenarios without suffering total “losses” from drone strikes.
