RT @MT_Anderson: USN TRACKING: Traversing the Epic Fury Blockade Line
Imagery from today (May 6) gives us an excellent look at the USN deployment along the blockade line in the Northern Arabian Sea / Gulf of Oman.

🔸Southern Edge: At the edge of the pass is a Nimitz Class carrier with 1x Arleigh Burke-class escort

🔸Center: Further north is the San Antonio Class USS New Orleans (LPD-18) & 1x Independence Class LCS to her west.

🔸Far North: Another Independence Class LCS is operating completely solo, roughly 70km off the Iran/Pakistan border.

The northern LCS placement is highly intriguing. With virtually no air defense and no visible escorts spotted nearby, it's a very bold spot to hang out.

For all the flak the platform gets, it looks like the 'little crappy ship' is finally out there working the contested littorals exactly like she was built to do 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

RT @Etienne_Marcuz: 🇷🇺🚀 Failure is ABSOLUTELY NOT an option ☢️🇷🇺

The NOTAMs for the Sarmat ICBM are active again, indicating a new launch window between tomorrow (May 8th) and Monday (May 11th).

This means the launch could occur just before or during May 9th, a highly symbolic date in Russia marking Victory Day.

With the threat of UAV attacks over Moscow forcing the Kremlin to cancel its traditional military parade, Russian leadership may seek to demonstrate its strength by test-firing its most powerful ICBM. However, the Sarmat has suffered multiple recent failures, with the last two launches ending in major early-flight malfunctions.

It is therefore highly surprising that Russia would risk another high-profile failure, which could severely undermine the technological credibility of its nuclear deterrent modernization efforts.

Other activities may also be planned for that day, including cruise missile launches by bombers.

I certainly...

NOTAM published this morning indicates SS-N-23 from the Barents Sea to Kura between the 9th and the 11th.

There are several NOTAMs at Kura, matching this one and also expected SARMAT test from Dombarovskiy, with partly overlapping time-frames.

So we might get a Victory Day SLBM firing from the Northern Fleet.

Kareliya is a good candidate for the firing sub, I'd say.

You might notice area 4 of the NOTAM, which I left out to unclutter the map.

Along with another one, it indicates something from the Barents Sea to Chiza, same timeframe.
