When launch volumes take a nose dive, it puts commanders in a bind. Do they chase high-value targets or pivot to soft targets to improve hit rate? Success against low-priority targets offers zero operational value. Success against lightly defended, moderate value targets is of operational value until that gap is plugged. One could argue that the IRGC can just continue to 'create' those high value / lightly defended target lists by going after energy and water infrastructure of GCC (even more than it has already). But that has retaliatory risks and will ensure that KSA and the Emirates strike back much harder.

This is terrible analysis. Impacts are only relevant if they actually hit an intended target, something on the critical asset list or have some other measurable result.

RT @KyleJGlen: Over the last 24 hours, Russia launched it's largest drone attack since their full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, more than 900 drones were launched from 7 launch areas and drones reached as far as Lviv near the Polish border.
It's difficult to explain just how big this attack was but I've put together a couple of graphics that might help.
The last 24 hours saw more drones launched than the first 6 months of 2023, and more drones launched than any month indidivually between September 2022 and August 2024.

Wild Hornets, @wilendhornets, have introduced a remote-control system allowing interceptor drones to be operated from hundreds of kilometers away.
The HORNET VISION Ctrl system enables operators to engage drones, including Shahed type drones, remotely, significantly expanding coverage from around 20 km to up to 100 km, and has already shown effective results in combat testing.
